Our Vacancies

General Labourer

We have a great opportunity for a General Labourer to join M.A.M Contracting. Due to our continued growth and work commitments, we are seeking a hard-working individual preferably with experience of working within the construction/civils industry.

Due to the nature of our business working locations may change and therefore you may need to travel throughout Scotland to help fulfil current and future project requirements.

Essentials for the role:

  • Preferably CSCS Certified
  • Preferably holds a full UK driving license (clean)


Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting with site preparation
  • Support and assist other team members by delivering materials/equipment that is needed to complete projects
  • Loading and unloading materials
  • Adhere to all H&S requirements
  • Carry out all work in a professional manner

Plant Operator

We are looking for a reliable hardworking plant operator who has experience of working within the construction, civils, agricultural or forestry industry.

Due to the nature of our business, the successful candidate must be willing to travel throughout Scotland, this position would ideally suit someone who holds a full UK driving license.

Role requirements:

  • NPORS/CPCS Certified
  • Preferably experienced in the forestry, agricultural and construction industry
  • Preferably holds a full UK driving license

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Candidate will be required to undertake daily checks and maintenance of both plant and attachments
  • Operator will be responsible for manoeuvring and operating machine to load and transport materials.
  • Good understanding of material weights, machine capabilities
  • Have high level of health and safety awareness especially when operating plant machinery and on site. Adhere to H&S protocol.

Tractor Operator

We are actively seeking an experienced tractor driver to join our team.

Due to the nature of our business, working locations can vary throughout Scotland, therefore, this role would suit someone who is flexible with working locations.

Essential for this role:

  • Experience of driving a tractor and
  • Knowledge and understand of all things H&S related in relation to driving a tractor
  • Due to the nature and the physical demand of the job, the candidate should be in good health
  • Prepared to work long hours outdoors in nature
  • Knowledge of agricultural/forestry industry

 

Responsibilities:

  • Driving and carrying out regular maintenance and repairs of tractors and other farm implements
  • Operating tractors safely and efficiently
  • Using tractors to transport materials
  • Reporting of any faults to line manager
  • Adhere to all H&S requirements whilst driving and maintaining tractor
